I really like your icons. Where can I get 'em?

I recently found this thread and installed Desktop Visualizer. This app ROCKS!

paulmz, Dude, thank you for this thread! I've been creating graphics for years in The GIMP and I'm planning to put my skills to work and create a new theme for my phone :D

I recently registered here and I found this thread and I must thank the thread creator and icon creators for all this great stuff!

can you please provide me that text icon or can anyone make me a vertical text icon (1 x2) with a girl(preferably) or guy texting as the background.

Finally got screen shots with 2.2- more to follow- thanks to all for their input- I am re doing everything- Samsung sent me a new phone yesterday after it bricked trying to get 2.2 (phone was not rooted). the faint outline on the nav is not seen on the phone. This is my travel page. Trip It is a great app, also the home icon is my instant navigation home via shortcuts. the same shortcut can be used for "direct dial" one touch dialing to favorite contacts.

any thoughts to get giant screen shots- I'm all ears

Upload images to a free server site like ImageShack.

Using ImageShack:
1. Go to "My Images".
2. Click the "Image Details" button next to the image you want to use.
3. Click on the "Embed this image" tab on the lower right.
4. Highlight and copy the "Forum" link information.
5. Post that link in the forum.

It will show the full size of the image uploaded to the server site.

Hope this helps!

This is my setup

I have also enabled the cube rotation thing of Launcher Pro Plus, really makes it look cool and unique :D

Is it possible for minimalistic text to show memory usage? Can I please have instructions if there is, I want to replace the system info widget with something else white.

Wanted to share my setup with everyone, big thanks to paulmz for the guide. Let me know if you want me to post any icons. From 1 to 5, 3 is home screen. Dock text is smaller than I'd like, text is on the image itself with transparent icons.

Can you please provide me the games and messaging Icon.

Launcher pro cube theme, still sorting out everything with a new phone. The nav shadow is artifact and not on the phone. Trip It is a really great app for travel which I keep on my travel page.

So I spent pretty much all day in this thread and playing with my phone to make it all work out right. This is what I've got. I used the different icons that are in here because I wasn't able to get the font so I could use it on my own icons. And me being as OCD as I am, the fonts HAVE to match. So until I can make all my own icons (with all the same font), this is what I've got.

Oh and I am eagerly awaiting the dimensions for icons using ADW without a dock or notification bar. I totally dig that idea because since I don't use a dock anyway, its just wasted space. :D

Ask, and you shall receive:

Here are the sizes for Desktop Visualizer widgets using ADW Launcher with the following settings:

1. 4-columns by 6-rows.
2. Notification bar turned off.
3. Dock turned off.
4. For devices with a 480x800 resolution.

Heights (rows- pixels):
1- 123, 2- 256, 3- 389, 4- 522, 5- 655, 6-788

Widths (columns- pixels):
1- 110, 2-230, 3- 350, 4- 470

This is demonstrated in this post: Android7 Layout Using ADW Launcher - Without Dock or Notification Bar. I will also edit to add the dimensions to that original post.

Hope this helps!

Sidebar: I'm pretty close to going back to LauncherPro. This ADWLauncher EX force closes at least once every single day. It's a shame... I'm really digging the "no dock" thing. LauncherPro, and even the free ADWLauncher, are ridiculously more stable than the EX. I've emailed the developer with no response. I'm sure he's flooded with error reports, which I send on a daily basis.

I use to have a T-mobile Mytouch 4g. Now I have a Samsung Galaxy S 4g. With the new phone i have no idea how to download any of the shared pics. Any help. Thanks in advance.

Well, I have never tried to do any of this without a computer. But if you insist on doing this solely on the device without the use of a computer:

1. When in the "Android Forums" app and browsing the "Android7 Theme" thread, press on the image that you want to download.
2. When the ImageShack page loads, long-press on the image and select "Save Image".
3. Press "OK" on the "Save as:" dialog box.
4. Done.

If you don't have it set already, it would probably be a good idea to set your browser to save all of the image downloads to a specific folder (rather than the standard "downloads" folder) on the phone memory (if possible).

Hope this helps.
