Help Android Phone question

I have a Droid X but lately its just been pissing me off. My friends have been texting me and the messages haven't been going to my phone. Also, for one of my friends who I talk to quite frequently, the phone won't even vibrate when she texts me. Everyone else but her. I don't understand. But is it possible for me to exchange my phone for a refurbished droid incredible instead of a droid x through Verizon or something. I'm so fed up with this piece of shit I was just don't want it anymore.

Have you had any of these problems before? Did you make sure you have the check box enabled for vibration? A suggestion would be to do the *228, which might produce mixed results (it may or may not do anything for you). Also have you tried a different messaging app such as Handcent? I can't remember the last time i used the stock messenger (which i like, but I didn't like the fact that you couldn't tell it to only show mobile numbers). If you continue to have problems just talk to customer service, they will walk you through the "lets see if this works (usually never does)", but maybe they can either send you the exact phone (not sure if you still like it), but you may be able to get them to give you a different phone (downgrade). i think if you were to get a replacement Droid X and you still had problems, then by then you should have a better shot of getting a different phone. I honestly can say I've never experienced any of the problems you are describing, again i'm using Handcent.

There's nothing inherently wrong with the X that keeps it from receiving text messages or vibrating, so either you got a bad phone or some setting is off. You can also take it to a corporate store. They'll probably do a master reset, and if that doesn't fix it, they may just order you a new phone right then and there. I'm a little biased, of course, but I think the X wipes the floor with the Incredible.
