Root Android Revolution HD onDesire Hd ??

Kiano

Lurker
Dear sir !
I am trying to flash my Htc desire hd with Android Revolution HD , and everything has gone well except in the end when I go to in recovery mode
choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of "Super Wipe" script
Once again select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of Android Revolution ROM.
I get many maps like data , com, system and I have clicked on all of them but nothing happens.
Please help?
Thankyou very much.

You downloaded a .zip file, right? By the sound of it you extracted the contents of the .zip file, which is why you can see data/com/system files.

You should not extract the .zip file - just download it and put it on your sdcard. Don't do anything to it. Then, when you go to recovery, you should be able to select it and flash it.

The same applies for the actual rom.zip. Don't extract that either.

I've moved this to the all things root section, by the way :)

As xyro mentioned, do not unzip the files.

I added this rom last week, and it was suprisingly straight forward for my first time:o

How do you find the rom? is it any good.......what have you used previously?

You talkin to me:cool:

Firts time ive installed a rom, and gotto say it seems faster somedays but then ive noticed a slight lag on other days.........

im bored allready though and want more more more

Been reading up on Rev HD is it better than say CM7 or Leedroid for battery life do you know? And why isn't it in rom manager...to make installing it easier :D

Cheers

The ARHD guys don't like ROM Manager, it has been known to be quite buggy at times.

ARHD is fine for battery if you match it with the right radio. By all accounts, getting the right radio has a massive impact on battery life in ARHD for some reason (more so than other ROMs).

i really like this one, got to be one my favs, really like the options on the lock screen
