Apps Android Safety Application : How to implement Voice recognition technique

I am developing an android safety app , where i am implementing several triggering methods like timer , manual etc ..I wanted to implement voice recognition technique as well , where the app should be listening always and it should catch a keyword and trigger a message when in danger. Can someone please help?

1-Tasker can do that. (And you can create apps from tasker) But it hits the battery pretty hard when you leave Tasker's always listening mode on.

2-Tasker + auto voice (a slightly different approach) can create voice-triggered commands that are recognized/executed after ok Google (I think an internet connection is required). Then you can use the phone's always listening mode for ok Google ...tends to use a lot less juice.
