Android Selective Wipe/Restore App?

I'm doing some work for a local Bed & Breakfast that offers Android Tablets to its guests.

One of the problems with that is the issue of clearing the tablets for use once the user has departed so that the B&B owners or next guests can't see a user's data.

Now the tablets could easily be restored, however there are apps on them that are on there for the TVs in the rooms that need to stay.

After scouring the internet, an app that simply restores the device to factory settings without deleting certain apps couldn't be found.

Does anyone know of an app like that of one I described above?

I can't recall hearing of anything like that. The closer solution I could recommend would be to root the tablets, and then install Titanium Backup to reload the select apps every time. It's far from practical, but I'm not all that sure that a "selective reset" is easily attainable no matter how you slice it. Would web apps be better, so it's all handled in the browser? Maybe using something like that might circumvent the need to wipe the entire tablet.

Either as Ryan says or (again with root access) move the apps that should be kept to the system app partition so that a factory reset doesn't touch them

Another approach might be looking down the tablet so the guest only has access to the pre defined apps and the browser or whatever app you think they'll need then simply wipe the browser data afterwards
