Android system battery usage?

The battery life on my HTC one google edition absolutely sucks, I've turned off everything and it tells me that the android system is using upwards of 90% of the usage. Any fix to this?

The "fix" is the way you're interpreting it. It's not that the eyetem is using up 90% of your battery charge, it's that 90% of the usage of your nattery is the syste,. If you add all the "usges", you'll find that 100% is being "used". 100% of the battery charge being used is being used. That could mean that 1% of the charge is being used per hour, but the system would be using 0.9% per hour.

My battery goes down INCREDIBLY quickly. And many times won't fully charge over night. And I've known all android phones to have the screen use much more if the battery then the system. My battery goes DOWN if I use it while its plugged in. I do not think I'm just interpreting this.

How long do you get on a charge? Is the phone modified?

I believe it is, its running the official GE version of the phone but its a black version. I've checked and its not rooted. I bought it from craigslist this way and after the KitKat update my battery has gone from being able to go all day on heavy use to maybe 2 hours of screen time tops.
