I looked up that particular tablet and it appears to be a Chinese import. Many of these low cost tablets are from manufacturers who haven't licensed access to the Android Market and are therefore not permitted to include the market app with the device. If you don't have the market app installed, then you won't be able to download apps from the market.
An alternative might be Amazon's App Store. There are shadow sites to get Android apps, but they are risky. I'd certainly be careful if you go that route.

Same issue here... I can access the market, but all the downloads are unsuccessful! I'm at my witts end here trying to get anything to work!
Any other solutions out there?
We also had an issue connecting to google, but that corrected itself.
This was given to my son as a gift for his birthday and he is so upset that he can't use it yet.
