I just received an OTA update notification regarding an update to Gingerbread (new version number 45.21.78.en.CA). Did anyone else get this? It's about 60MB in size. I'm installing it now....may god have mercy on my soul.

2.3.6??? I know they shipped the Atrix2 with 2.3.5, but I've not even heard of a 2.3.6 build.

Care to share your observations on the changes??

I'm not skilled enough (or observant of my phone enough) to identify anything different on my phone. If I find anything out (ie: online, etc), I'll post it here.

for some reason my atrix never OTA updates. The only time I ever receive OTA notices is if I have just finished a factory reset. After that, nothing. I'm not even rooted. Even clicking System Updates never works. All I ever get is "not available try later"

I've had to do all my updates by manually DLing them from moto's website. But now this latest release isn't even there.

update: ok so apparently I had to have wifi on as well for "check system updates" to work. But now I get to the checking for updates please wait screen, except... it never ends. It stays stuck on "please wait" going on 20 minutes now.

I just installed it on my Atrix. I'm hoping it helps with the horrible battery performance issues that were introduced by the upgrade to from v2.2 (Froyo) To Gingerbread.

I just sent Moto a nasty-gram about this update after never getting OTA properly pushed to my phone, having to screw with my setting to finally get manual check for updates to work, and freezing issues after the last two update installs:

OK I finally got the update. I had to make sure background data, wifi location, and data roaming were all enabled in order for settings > about phone > system updates to actually work. your OTA is still screwed up though, I never got it. You guys need to get your act together and write up valid working instructions for people to change their phone settings in order to get updates too. What a damn mess. The cherry on the cake is that the last 2 updates I've installed from you have frozen my phone at the red "M" logo when it reboots! (which I see is happening again right now). What a mess. Your coders need to be replaced.

Last Moto phone I ever buy:

Your support dept doesn't answer my tickets on time
your updates are bugged and neglected and late
your support website is a confusing unorganized maze

Overall Motorola has been a sloppy incompetent mess with this phone and support. As soon as my upgrade eligibility comes available I'm dropping this phone and Motorola ASAP.

PS: The last two updates I've had to pull my battery to unfreeze my phone after the update reboot. Are you kidding me!?

garbage and nonsense. I'm not hearing any better customer service reports from people on HTC or Sammy etc. either. I'm going to jump to the dark side if this crap continues. At least with iPhail I can walk into the mall 5 minutes away and have it fixed on the spot, which is light years ahead of the hoops the android carriers are making me jump through just to get a simple resolution.

Updated a few day's ago. The thing I noticed most was the battery life, it's way better than the previous version. And w/ TB freezing the bloatware I'm over 30 hours b/w charges.

Problems again. Finally got the update. Now my battery meter is screwed up. Doesn't show a 100% unless charged while turned off.
