Help Android update and root

Is there a quick and easy way to install the November Android update on my rooted Nexus 6 please?
Thanks for that link, it looked to be a very elegant solution. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. I get the dialogue that the OTA is downloading then verifying and then I when open FlashFire it detects it, I say "yes" to begin the process and nothing whatsoever happens. The download doesn't appear in the list of files (but the October one does as it came out before I rooted my phone) and I can't find it anywhere with eg. ES File Explorer or Root Explorer. I've tried this several times, with and without BusyBox installed. Any suggestions welcome.

Do you mean the OTA's update.zip file?

That should be in the /cache partition named as update.zip (I've got one sitting there on my Nexus 5 right now)

Here's what I've learned regarding this problem:
Always scroll down to see the whole page. When I did this in Flashfire I found the Flash button and was finally able to install the November OTA but lost root as a consequence and not before getting this message several times "Warning: it has been detected that you may be trying to flash a------ This will likely cause the flash to fail"
Researching this warning led me to "find" Nexus Root Toolkit.
Now I need to know if using this to unroot my phone before installing future OTA's and re-rooting is a safe and reliable way to have updates AND root.
What are the risks/pitfalls of doing this?
Any suggestions as to how best to use this utility are most welcome.
