Android without sd card

I have a phone coming but doesnt have the sd card can i go off of internal memory on this phone its running 2.0. Like if i needed to go to the market and download to 2.1 could i do it right from the phones internal memory?

I don't think you can. Due to the size of the updates it saves it to your sdcard and then loads it from there. You should be able to get a 4 or 8gb sdcard pretty cheap if you don't want to spend for the 16gb card.

Also 2.1 is outdated and you should keep updating till you have 2.2.2 and each update will need to be saved to your sdcard (updates will come via OTA or you can force it by flashing it yourself.
