Android_Secret_Code String Revealed!

is it possible that some of these can be blocked by different carriers?

I have the Samsung Galaxy S (from cellular south) but its pretty much the Fascinate in appearance and layout...but I can't get the Audio Adjustment numbers to do anything? No new menus pop up like did when I unlocked the hidden menus.

I was able to access some of the information codes like What is my firmware, MEID #, LCD test, and Disable the Full Bat Popup!...But I really need to jack up the audio of the headphone jack...at max its mediocre. Any Suggestions?

Am I doing something wrong thats obvious?

The GalaxyS Phones that are in another thread are a different Samsung phone...I think cellular south calls this a Showcase?

Anyone care to share what their stream_headset_setting values are? I stream music via bluetooth and therefore the navi volume comes through bluetooth. I can't EVER hear the navi! I need to adjust the settings but I can't. When I adjust them they just revert back to original. Any thoughts?

These codes don't work for me after upgrading to DL09. Am I the only one experiencing this?

I'm on DL05, rooted of course, but many of these codes don't work for my phone. And I read in another post, where the codes were used to change the max system volume, that the codes were only working for DI01.

I couldn't check if these codes work because the first part
Go into the Dialer and enter *#83786633 then press the Home key
Go back into the phone dialer and enter *#22745927
Now a box will come up asking for the SPC code. Enter 000000
Press the Hiddenmenu Enable radio button.
refused to execute (I think) - the phone responded with Number unknown or something to that effect, to both, no box, no nothing. What have I done wrong?

So has anyone figured out how to do this (mostly the audio settings) work with the new Ed01. I have the Comm Rom, but I cannot find the audio settings anywhere in the tsm parts dialer code menu. anyone got ideas?

Somebody let me know if the sidetone thing works. That's a little over my paygrade to start tweaking that sort of thing. I can do on/off of something annoying. Adjusting values...........scary. LOL

all you have to really do is, and i know this is a late response, i just joined like an hour ago, just write down the factory values in a safe place and just fiddle around with the values to your preferances

A word of light caution on changing the EVRC output (light caution instead of dire warning because changing the settings back is easy); after I successfully changed all 3 settings to EVRC-B I could no longer hear or be heard during phone calls. No sound either way. Would've been nice to see the improvement but alas...

A quick edit back to the original EVRC settings and all was right in the world again. Hope everyone else has better luck with it.

Just tried the above and with a Bluetooth headset I have audio both ways. Just testing with my spare cellphone and listening for my own voice on the other phone(s).

It's midnight now, will have to wait for tomorrow to get a performance test on the audio, but it does seem to be working, and to "my ears" the sound is more "mellow". I have thought the sound was "too crisp" before.

BTW, many thanks to all who have put in the time to find these codes. :) :)

How did you get it to work while being on 2.2? I have heard these do not work beyond the DL05 build. I havent been able to get it to work since I went to Froyo.

I just followed the keystrokes.
It seemed to work for me.
I reviewed the values and they did change.

Are you rooted? I can enter and enable the hidden menu, but it will not access any of the menus when the codes are entered. It takes the code and it disappears like it would before it opens the menu, but doesnt do anything

These codes used to work for me but I am now running the community rom and they no longer work. I'd really like to find a way to increase the headset volume. Does anyone know any tricks that could do that such as a gscript script?

None of these codes work for me? Just says call cannot be completed? WTF am I missing here? I want to fix my low incoming/outgoing call volume!!!

anyone???????

This was posted in the first entry of this thread.

Note that custom ROMs appear to break this.

I have a Fascinate through Verizon. When I plug my charger in to charge my phone, I will see the battery screen and then the big picture of the battery and the charge level in green (which moves right to left as it charges). Since I have a my screen off set to 30 secs, I go in every 30-60 mins to check and see the progress when I hit the power button. I do NOT, however, see the 100% battery indicator on my screen until I hit the power button. I prefer it that way. And BTW, maybe it is because of the screen off after 30 secs setting, but I have not noticed my phone back hot when it is 100% charged.
