Help Angry Birds Beta

Yeah, this is a known problem and has been discussed in another thread around here somewhere. Another member suggested rapidly tapping on the screen after tapping on the icon to open it. I have tried this and it has worked but to be honest I'm not really sure if it is the tapping that does the trick. I think it just opens randomly regardless. Hopefully the next update to the app will fix this problem.

Ha. I randomly figured out the tapping fix yesterday on my own. So, add me to the list of people it works for.

i read this entire link hoping not to miss something, but i still cant find the section discussing how the app wont open on android??

I cant even play the damn game, and this is the closest thing to a high-quality game i have seen so far really!

damn, any other tips other than tapping? Any hope for an update?

For the money these dev's have made, they sure do drag their asses! Common guys, drop an update, or the full version, or something!!

The taping trick works. Use both thumbs, and move quick

As stated above I'm not really sure if the "tapping" trick is what makes the app work but what I do is: open the app drawer and select Angry Birds, I use LP so as soon as the icon lights up and before the app drawer closes, I begin tapping on the screen like crazy. Then the Rovio logo displays on the screen, I continue tapping until I see the opening screen for Angry Birds. 9 times out of 10 this will work for me.

once you get the app open - mute it from within the app

now it will open every time

at least that's how I got it to work on my Incredible

Never had a problem with mine. Has never crashed once and opens every time. See below for how my phone is set up.

Tapping worked for me!


I love that this is such a "take out the Nintendo cartridge and blow on it" hack.


BTW, this game is basically like a game I bought Steel Shot (and many others), but with much better production values, design and character.

Just an FYI. I found that the program would just close when run from the Virtuous 2.7 stock kernel but when I flashed the King#4 it ran like a charm!

Beta 2 is now out and I haven't had any problems opening it yet.

You have to download Beta 2 or will it update if you have beta 1? I had the no-start problem the first time I tried it, took about 10 tries, but has worked flawlessly ever since, I just can't get past level 8! lol

Correct - the full version isn't available yet - rumor says it will be in a couple weeks
