Angry Birds now available for Eris

Just saw that Angry Birds is now up in the market...i tried searching and also scanning the QR code and my phone can't find the app in the market.

Anyone had any luck getting it on the Eris?

Pretty sure it's still in beta for Android... I just signed up yesterday.
 
Based off of this i thought it was available for everyone:

Due to the massive response and demand from the Android community, we have decided to make Angry Birds Lite Beta available for everybody through the Android Market this Friday.

Ahh, I hadn't seen that yet. I don't see it in the market either.
 
Quick question. How do you scan a QR code? I've never tried it before. I used to do it with my BB but can't find how to with my Eris.

You need a barcode scanner app. I use shopsavvy but there are a few other ones in the market as well.

Put it on my at the root of the SD card and it just keeps saying i'm out of memory. I've deleted like 20mb of programs...the angry birds is only 11mb....were you having this problem?
 
I just emailed it to my gmail address as an attachment, and it let me install it right from the email.

That doesn't work either...when i hit preview in gmail on my phone it gives me the following error:

"Parse Error There is a problem parsing the package."

You might want to try re-downloading it, it may be corrupted.

I give up...redownloaded it. Sent it to gmail, same error.

Astro keeps giving me memory error even though i have over 40mb of free space...tried sending it from astro through gmail and same parsing error.

Well done Android.

Dont hate the playa hate the game. or something like that. its not androids fault you cant figure out how to install it. sorry to sound harsh.

Really? I've tried quite a few work arounds to get it to work and no luck. I'd say it is android's fault if i can't simply hit install and it doesn't work.

I used work email to get it to my phone; used ES File Explorer to move it to the root directory, clicked on the apk, got "Out of space. Angry Birds could not be viewed. Free up some space on your phone and try again."

Different email than OP, different file manager, same result. :(
 
I got it to install, but it keeps closing on its own. I'm on KaosFroyo v30 though, so I might want to update it.
