Angry Birds updated...

Try un-mounting your SD card. Install the game, then mount it back. I'm not real familiar with the EVO, but the option should be in Settings under SD card & phone storage. That worked for me.

Make sure your sdcard is not full or close to full capacity. Also try unmounting or removing the sdcard and then installing.

I'm not sure why that happens, but I've had it happen to me a couple of times. All the Gameloft games require me to unmount the card for them to install. It may be some kind of bug that happened with the 2.2 upgrade. Hopefully, its fixed when the update comes out.
 
Hi,

This is probably a dumb question, but could someone tell me why I can only see a little of the game on my screen? The screen goes light blue when I load it up, but at the very top of the screen there is a line of a few pixels where I can see some credits scrolling by, and some birds.

I believe this newest update added support for QVGA devices not sure if that effects your device or not. You sure you have the newest version? Also what device are you using?

Thanks for getting back to me GrandMaster. I'm using the Huawei Ascend from cricket, and I just downloaded angry birds 2 days ago off of the market. I'm not sure about QVGA stuff, or if my phone has it.
 
Someone may want to label this topic as SOLVED since the main issue of graphical problems and annoying ads has at least 2 solutions: root your phone and get AdFree, or put the phone in airplane mode before you play. I find the root and AdFree solution a lot better since it also can help with ads that slow down your phone anywhere else. Plus rooting isn't that hard with all the "one step", "one click" methods out there now.

Yes but some of us are big chickens and don't want to risk rooting because we barely understand how the phone works out of the box. :D:p
 
Has anyone has any issues with AdFree Android? I've just installed it and ran "download new hosts" And I've got the black screen of death. SGS. Yet my radio is still playing......

Okay, I get what you're saying, but I mean how are those suggestions not a solution? If something's wrong with my car, I go out and fix it myself. I'm not going to wait for the next year's model to be released and buy a new one. Plus, from what I've seen, Rovio does updates once a millenium (slight exaggeration). So what I'm asking is, if it fixes the problem people are having with the game, how is it not a solution?

I know the devs get supported by putting ads in the apps, but when the ads get to become very intrusive, people are going to look harder to eliminate them.

AdFree is even more valuable when using the browser. You can eliminate a lot of bandwidth by cutting out ads on webpages.

I have similar problem with Angry Birds updates on HTC Desire. They download but won't install because of 'unknown error' every time. Also unable to download Seasons edition. I tried moving Angry Birds to and from SD card and also unmounting or mounting card but nothing works. I have deleted some apps as well to make more space. Can anyone help? It's rather frustrating...

I have a rooted Motorola Cliq with Android 2.1, and I've installed AdFree, but I still get ads in Angry Birds. Am I doing something wrong?

UPDATE: I uninstalled and reinstalled AdFree, and now it works!! Frickin' awesome!!

You can't go wrong with UnREVoked, mate. ;)

Do your research and follow a video guide. It's a lot easier than it sounds, trust me. I was like you to begin with, but I've since rooted and flashed custom ROMS etc.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling AdFree, clearing the cache and then rebooting?
 
Have been loving Angry Birds since it came out for android....now my laptop has it too!! Angry Birds are everywhere!! LOL!!:D
