Angry Birds runs unbearably laggy. Rio is slightly better, but still barely tolerable. Any quick or easy workarounds to make Angry Birds run smoother on my Eris?

I think your options are going to be limited to either overclocking your phone or buying a faster phone.

Overclocking your phone (710 is safe), turn the sound off in the game, and put your phone in airplane mode to prevent the ads from showing up.

Search around XDA and you'll find a patched version of the Beta that works great on the Eris. It isn't as full featured as the actual app, but at least its smooth.

Overclocking on my old eris has proven unhelpful for me. Mine is OCed at 720 and it is still laggy. I just gave up. Your only real option to get the app working lag-free would be to get a faster phone.

I tried. Still sucks. I eventually bought it for my Macbook.

Just installed it. Seems to work reasonably well.
