I tried animated homescreens on an AT&T Tilt onto which I had installed a hacked up 2.x. It worked fine. Therefore it would be a bit of a surprise for Samsung to cut that considering their hardware is better than the Tilts.
everything i've read about animated/live wallpapers have said that they're yet another way to drain your battery. battery life on any android phone (especially the moment) is bad enough. I personally wouldn't put another strain on it.
Thanks everyone all of your post were very helpful. I also think that the phone should be powerful enough for that software and you should be able to show it off.
