Anime/Manga not so ultimate otaku Lounge

Been watching Rosario + Vampire on Netflix...just gets too silly at some point. After a while I feel like I want to spray the silly bat narrator with a shotgun.

I have that queued up but haven't started.

Now, if you have a Chromecast, pay attention - vGet just upgraded to Chromecast support, free.

Turn off desktop/Flash mode.

Well, check out KILL la KILL when you can. Also a new episode (episode 19) is on tonight.

And since I don't have a TV anymore, I don't have a use for Chromecast. Oh well. :(

I'm still trying to sort out what Kill la Kill is, but it's definitely addicting. :D

I know that this won't make any sense but I'll just toss it out there - I was thinking about FLCL in no time flat.

Maybe it was the manga mixed in, I think it was more the dad, I don't know. The impression didn't last, but it was pretty strong.

Anyone else or just me??

PS - same script writer did Oh! Edo Rocket, and that was pretty good.

Just got decided to try Hulu Plus anybody have any recommendations?

Also learned that Real Player the cloud app in the Play Store free allows me to stream a lot more then I think Chromcast originally wanted

Exactly, since KILL la KILL came from the same director of FLCL (Fooly Cooly). The story will start making more sense the further you watch it too.

I love the cognitive dissonance created by "making sense" applied to anime. :D

It's probably my favorite part of the ride. :)

I made the mistake of reading some spoiler comments looking for Fooly Cooly connections, hopefully I turned away without too much damage. Thanks for the tip on the director, I didn't get that far, and it makes perfect sense. (I can't believe I just did that. Ok yes I can. :D)

I power-tooled through 8 episodes, and I'm definitely hooked. The whole thing is better than the mental images I got reading the synopsis, so I'm glad you stayed on it here.

Now you need to try out Oh! Edo Rocket. I'd mentioned that often in the past and so far as I know, got no takers. :p The English dubbed version is pretty funny, and you know how I hate dubs.

You'd think two separate story elements such as a high school girl wanting revenge for her father's murder, and finding a school uniform with super powers would be incompatible. Not quite true in KILL la KILL. :)

Oh! Edo Rocket is also another one I have to check out when given time. :)
