Anime/Manga not so ultimate otaku Lounge

And so KILL la KILL draws to a close. I don't see how TRIGGER can pack so much into that ending!

And I also just started watching Noragami as Early suggested before. I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.

EDIT: Just finished Noragami, a great series. This better come up with a second season instead of relying on the manga alone.
 
Watching my way through Dusk Maiden of Amnesia...interesting ideas so far (if a little weird and little perverse when you stop to think)...keeps hinting at what would sex be like with the ghost of a (still) hot woman be and what would it do to your soul? It's like harem anime with an undead.

Edit: also... Naruto... The battle got so intense... Then poof... No more storyline... These fillers will be the end of me

I've seen that series. Would have been nice if it didn't end in a cliffhanger like several others.

Yesterday, I also watched the first episode Soul Eater Not!: a spinoff of Soul Eater. Not sure what to make of it though. They should have just made a second season of Soul Eater.
 
I just got a tip about this anime from another website that I frequent. It's called No Game No Life.

Synopsis
The story of No Game, No Life centers around Sora and Shiro, a brother and sister whose reputations as brilliant NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) hikikomori (shut-in) gamers have spawned urban legends all over the Internet. These two gamers even consider the real world as just another "crappy game." One day, they are summoned by a boy named "God" to an alternate world. There, God has prohibited war and declared this to be a world where "everything is decided by games"
 
I would love for a true sequel to come out for soul eater but the fake ANN link was a April's fool joke and I've only heard about the soul eater not spin off...the anime strayed for like 20 episodes or so...the manga is done now but it would have to be a full remake and I doubt they will...but oh how I miss Maka and Soul such a great team...plus Death FTW...
 
Finished rewatching all of GITS, Death Note and Bleach. Put the first episodes of Bleach on for WifelyMon - and - looks like I'll be rewatching that one immediately again. And that bothers me precisely zero amount. :D

I'll probably start up Casshern Sins again, soon.

I wish. Mrs. Spec would only watch Death Note with me a ways back, and she totally loved it, mostly cuz of Ryuk haha. If she wasn't so enamored of James Spader and the Pawn Star boys I'd probably be able to pull her into SAO ;)

SAO isn't a long series got my GF to watch it...If you can get her to watch the first 2 episodes she will be hooked and it's like half as long as death note...and the last third isn't nearly as good as the rest...the whole elf game thing was a let down IMO

Nice list! You included my favorite Hunter x Hunter, but I wasn't updated that there was already a new series. I guess I would have to start there. :D

It's easily my favorite or if not, it's right up there. The new series started 2011 and is going strong.

First time I watched Casshern Sins I thought it was primitive. It
