Anime/Manga not so ultimate otaku Lounge

hey guys i was wondering.....with all the Anime we have watched can you guys agree with me that All anime Characters that are supposed to be Japanese (not the Black/Hispanic/Italian ones), don't look Japanese at all.....they for the most part look Caucasian American lol
 
With green, purple, orange, and blue hair - and all of the above for eye colors plus red and yellow. :D

I think they're just trying to make the characters exotic and fanciful.

And while some go for a Western look for their characters, some of what you see you see with a cultural bias.

I've lived there, and have had a few friends eventually confess that they have trouble at first because Americans and Europeans all look the same, while others roll their eyes at those guys and call them silly. Probably similar to the reactions you'd get locally about telling Japanese apart.

So it's possible that for some of the anime there's a non-Japanese, exotic (Western) influence for the characters, but others, it's not really there and is a matter of viewer perception.

I don't know - just an opinion. :)

Durarara 2 started this season. According to rumours ,all LN's will be in anime.
The pace is much faster than Durarara 1 .

Awesome !! It's a fantastic anime if you like characters. And there are like 15-20 major characters ...

Also Assassination Classroom ....What could go wrong when your teacher is a giant tentacle monster trying to eat earth...

FateStayNight is on a season break. Liked the cliffhanger...Feels strange rooting for a villain (former ?) ...Also Tohsaka jumping from building giving Shirou a cold shoulder and then carried by Archer followed by disillusion(Theme song of OG FSN) ....Epic...

Death Billiards, episode 5 - just got really interesting. :)

Watching Aldnoah.Zero on my TV - watching the first episode, looks intriguing.

EDIT -

Several episodes in - Aldnoah.Zero is definitely not the usual lousy mecha - it's pretty good! :)
