Help anker q

So i bought the 1900 Anker like a month ago and its worked great since but over the last week or so, its always charged much quicker than the stock battery did but all of a sudden, it burns battery much quicker and it gets oddly kinda hot, which it never did before. Also, when I turn it off and then on, instead of burning battery, it magically has more energy than it did when I turn it off..

What do u guys think?

I have a 3400 mAh extended battery, and I can charge it up to 99%, unplug it, and be down to 93% before you know it. Also, I can spend an hour or more getting from 99% to 100%. It climbs fast, then stalls at the last 1%. Likewise, I can go from 57% to 85% fast...then drop to the 75% mark with little use.

I think all non standard capacity batteries will have some form of this occur. Instead of looking at the percentage left, look at the voltage. 4.225 Volts is my 100% mark. 4.079 V is 99% as is 4.2 V.

Do you use Battery Monitor Widget? Try it out, and keep it running. It will build quite a history for you to go back and review. It's one of my favorite apps.

Wonderful, thanks! I actually just installed that the other day, so I'll make sure I hold onto it.

So generally, the phone just won't accurately read the battery properly on the stock battery tracking app, so just ignore it?

Also, my charger gets really hot sometimes when I have that plugged into the phone -- that doesn't matter does it?

Thanks again!

Batteries heat up as they charge, a cool battery holds more than a hot battery. This is why you see such wild drops as soon as you take it off the charger, it cools and suddenly you have more room. So if you charge your phone, let it cool, then unplug or reboot it, you can squeeze another 5-10%, possibly as much as 15% more battery life.

When I get up, I hit a widget that reboots my phone, triggering charging to re-start with a cold battery. This way, when I go to leave, the phone is fully topped up. Combined with an Anker battery, you can get waay more battery than most people get from a stock phone.

As for the battery draining, EVERY time I have experienced sudden loss like that, it's an app. Batteries typically lose capacity over time, or completely die, they pretty much never lose a lot of capacity over a short period. My bet would be either a widget, otherwise it's an app using ads and/or gps.

I think this issue is getting worse. The battery is draining really quickly when I use the phone, at this point. It even drains quickly when I'm not using it. For example, when I first got this battery a month ago, for the first three weeks, it would only use like 2-4% of battery when I was sleeping (anywhere from 6-8 hours a night). Last night it used 30% while I was sleeping. No apps are running that I'm aware of, as the Advanced Task Killer kills them every 30 mins to an hour.

Idk what it could be. The battery randomly gets hot, too, but Idk if that's because I'm using it or not.

Should I just order a new anker battery or go back to the stock battery?

The problem is probably your task killer. DO NOT USE A TASK KILLER. Android handles its own ram far better than you can with a task killer. When you kill an app instead of it being cached and ready to use at any moment, whenever it needs to do something it will have to cold launch which takes more time which means more battery loss.

Continuing to use a task killer can result in missing text messages, alarms not going off, not receiving notifications, and general unstableness.

You also have to remember, Because this phone came with a 1730 mah battery, The phone thinks its fully charged when your battery hits 1730mah. It is generally recommended to charge your phone at least an additional hour after it says fully charged to achieve maximum capacity/full charge. This is especially important for the larger batteries, Like the 3400mah and 3500mah batteries. You have to charge them like 3 hours after the phone says its charged to achieve full capacity.

I have a 3500 mah battery, And the charging LED will actually change to green when the battery level says somewhere around 80%. It requires at least an additional 2 hours before it hits 100%, And I let it charge at least an hour longer past that, just incase. :p I can easily get 2 days of use out of my battery when it is FULLY charged properly.

Despite having a 1900 mah, my phone light turns green when it reads that It's at 100%..

I still recommend letting your phone charge at least an hour after hitting 100%, That way it takes all the juice it can get. Your phone may say 100%, But your battery may not be 100% full.

This is true. My battery gets too 98/99% really quickly, but then takes a good hour to get from 99% to green, but I've been leaving it on the charger for an hour past green, and that's helping.

Thanks.

If you are using a rom, there is no reason for a task manager.
Task managers are really only helpful or good on stock, unrooted roms where it's your only way to kill some of the bloat the phone comes with.

Quick Boot by Sirius Applications Limited

You can also download wakelock detector, free from the Play Store, to see if any apps are preventing the phone from going into deep sleep while the screen is off, I found out that the magic jack app was preventing my phone from entering deep sleep over 80% of the time that my screen was off.

Well for me the wakelock detector said that go sms pro is running in the background.... ,but before i quit using my task manager my battery drained %2 over night but now it runs the phone dead overnight without the task manager... Also I have been charging it 1 hour after it says its %80 ,but I see no difference in battery life with my anker battery. Any suggestions?
