Help Annoying WiFi Problem on HD

The issue i am having is that WiFi stops working. I have home network. TP-Link router, which wifi i use for my notebook and HD. Notebook has no problems. So it means its not TP-Link fault;

So what happens is, that WiFi works normally, and after few minutes/hours(can't be specific cause every time this period of time is different) WiFi icon on the notification bar is still on, but there is no internet; (but the same time on laptop it works)
After i restart the TP-link router, then i have internet again on HD, but again for a while. Once this problem dissapeared for like few days, maybe even week, then it came back again, i have no idea what it is caused by;'

Called the internet provider, they told me its all about the phone;

Any ideas?

Thanks, in AdVance;

Is it an older router? The DHD has issues in maintaining a connection to certain routers (although I think it's actually a wider Android issue, not unique to the DHD).

Have you tried changing the Routers WiFi channel, or assigning yourself a static IP, that has sorted these issues in the past.

The router i have: 150M Wireless Lite N Router Model No. TL-WR741N / TL-WR741ND

I just checked and Wi Fi Channel is set to Auto. What should i change it to?

And assigning static IP for my phone, i've done that, and it kind of work, i don't remember, cause it was long time ago, but the problem was that after i went to work or other places i needed to turn of the settings, because WiFi wouldn't work there on those settings for my home IP;

WiFi Analyzer will let you know what the best channel is, mine can vary though.

And it looks as though something like this should allow you to manage different connection settings dependant different networks on the fly.

Have you tried updating the firmware of the router too? Again, that's another potential fix which has worked for others in the past.

Hopefully, that will sort.

Firmware upgrade for Router, i'll try next

Tried the wifi analyzer now, and it shows me its connected to Channel 7, and the rating is like ALL stars. How else can i figure out which one is best?

Channel 7 is the best then, no need to change that.

What's the software version of the handset? (Settings -> About Phone). Is it only your home network there's an issue?

Just did the firmware update for TP Link. and switched to Channel 7. Lets see if it works.

Android Version 2.3.55
is this what you mean?

No problem! :)

It's still happened. Yesterday. I left from home it was working. I came back home it worked for a while. And after died. Have no clue what it can be.

Then i wrote down IP manually and Gateway and DNS's in the WiFi settings and it started working. But now it wont work at my work wifi. So i have to change it all the time.
Is there any other solution u can think of?

Have you tried using the router to give your phone a static ip address? I use mac address filtering on mine (it is Draytek router though, not a TP-Link) so that when the router, which is set to give out ip addresses via dhcp, sees a particular mac address it assigns a specific ip address to it (it was easier this way for a particular sync app to operate at the time).

Can you try that to see if it works? And that way the phone will still connect to other networks with no problem.

I found something in TP Link setting called IP address reservation;
So i did it. Lets see how it will work. I have to wait few hours

Thanks guys, for supporting!

its BACK!!))) After 2 days of working without any problem, it stopped working again. Without Router restart;

and as i noticed today, it happened after battery was very low, and Battery Saver was on. Then i plugged in the usb charger, and when it was already charging it couldn't go to internet anymore. even though it was connected to wifi
and here is what router was saying about it
ID Client Name MAC Address Assigned IP Lease Time
1 Sh0-PC FA-D1-11-00-50-78 192.168.1.100 01:06:28
2 Android_356812044359675 D8-B3-77-D4-E7-D4 192.168.1.101 Permanent

So I've just updated my HTC Desire HD, after it got heart failure for a day and kept restarting I finally did a factory reset and it now seems to have stabilised.
However now I can't connect to my home wifi network.
It continually tries to obtain my IP address but fails to connect.
I've tried all the suggestions on here, using a static IP address and restarting my hub but no joy. I'nm tearing my hair out, anyone have any ideas?

I'm on Android version 2.3.5 - is this the one where there are wifi problems?
If so any idea what I need to do to rectify it as when I go to check for updates on my phone it says there are none.

I have a desire hd also on latest 2.3.5 sense 3 and use a TP links router
mines a TL-WR841ND though
TL-WR841ND - Welcome to TP-LINK

And experience no problems at all as you do. if it helps i can look at any relevent config settings, I'm sure as the models are reasonably similar it may be worth a look.

I did as advised above and checked the surrounding wifi signals to figure the best channel to use.

Having investigated further I have discovered that the Deisre HD has problems with Speedtouch routers.
I downloaded Wifi analyzer and wifi manager. I switched to a static IP address and had to select DNLA auto-IP in the Advanced settings.
It finally said my wireless was connected but then when I tried to use Twitter, Facebook or the internet it said it wasn't.
