Another battery thread

I got a Desire S the day it came out and staight away found the battery life very good considering I was using it a lot. This week though its been pretty bad. Today for example it was flashing red (15%) by 1pm, I leave it on all the time and plug it in to charge over night as Ive always done with phones. The wifi was off, bluetooth off , gps off the only thing on today was the mobile network. It was unplugged this morning at around 7 am I made no calls but did surf the net for 10 minutes max.

As I say its been fine its weird how its suddenly not lasting the full day, anyone have any ideas ??

Yeah I have 3G watchdog its showing very low usage from facebook and weather widget Im guessing.

I did wonder if the screen keeps coming on in my pocket or something and this is draining the battery.
 
I do keep the phone in a sock in my pocket as I work in a dusty environment so you might be on to something with the heat thing
 
I'm having similar problems. Turned off auto syncs on everything, background data, no animations yet the battery life just drains. Didn't use it for two hours and it went down 13%. Any ideas for how i can improve this?
 
UPDATE

I left wifi switched on today, set the screen time out to 45 seconds where it was set to never turn off before. I made one call today a few texts and some ebaying and surfing and from 7 am to now 5.15 pm its dropped to 70% which is much better.
