Long time Iphone user here. I have owned an Iphone since the first 2G iphone came out a few years back.
I have had the Nexus S since Friday.
A few impressions...
So far comparing the 2 phones it's like this:
Android let's me do what I WANT my phone to do.
The Iphone let's me do what JOBS wants my phone to do.
This is huge for a techie like myself. I am a customization whore and now i really see what people mean when Apple has a walled garden.
Of course I could jailbreak my iphone and I did.
But... once I did that, my phone felt sluggish and I would go back and remove it.
One let down on the Android system so far is that they app makers make better apps for the iphone. For ex: nytimes app.
On the android os it's not nearly as polished. On the iphone, the app updates all news sections. Not on the android.
For me this is huge because I commute underground in NYC and enjoy/need to have my news downloaded so I can read offline.
Then there are also apps that have not been released on android.
Dealbreakers?
Not sure...I'll have to wait and see.
