Root Another JB Update?!

Also, a little 411 for the community on something I did yesterday;

Just to see how the phone would act, I decided to restore my backup that I performed JUST BEFORE I INSTALLED MRG'S FIRST POSTED KERNEL...so to re-iterate here, we're flashing back to pre-MiRaGe condition WITH the M12 update.

What I got was the rom that I was using (tyler1998's posted JB recovery), with the M12 baseband, and the MD6 build number.

The only quirk was that it wanted to install the update that AryaA was referring to (update your Galaxy 'Rush' 45+ mb).

I ren it for about half the day with no other noticeable problems, except for the constant push reminder; so I flashed back to the last/recent backup of present.

Don't know if this is earthshattering, but thought it strange that the build would revert, and not the baseband.

Peace,
Sox

Don't know if it's just me but my phone is now freezing all the time and randomly rebooting at least 3 times a day

I'm curious about something.

I'm running Party time JB with the MiraGe kernel. Should I install the update? What exactly does it have? Is it worth the trouble of going back to stock and reinstalling everything?

Thanks,

rancequest

For some reason after the update I noticed that I don't get push notifications over Wi-fi, but when I switch to 3G I get a bunch of notifications at once. I'm talking gmail, whatsapp, and hangouts mainly. It used to work perfectly fine before the update, I'd even get e-mail notifications before it showed on my computer. Anyone else with this problem, any ideas?

Running rooted MI2 with the latest MGR kernel (10/13/2013).

I flashed the stock boot image, and put the update zip in the appropriate folder, but it refuses to install through clockwork recovery
