Hello, forum!
Let me jump straight to the issue; My Samsung Galaxy S2 has a device storage problem, and while learning more about this problem I'm sad to say that so far nothing has worked well to cure this problem. I'll list a few specifics about my phone and methods I've tried:
-I have removed all unused apps, and instead of gaining space, I've LOST some;
-My S2 is stock, no mods or root;
-All cache has been cleared out of each app;
-I've tried the user stu40's *#9900# solution with no results to free up space, but the action itself did work;
-My S2 is a bit special..it supposedly has no firmware visible from the phone itself, it's all done by Samsung Kies, thus I'm not even able to root;
-I've tried to enter the ODIN screen so I could reflash the stock firmware, but all my phone does is repeatedly vibrate at me until the hotkeys are released, and then proceeds to a normal boot.
So, there you have it; I've done some thorough research on methods to fix this issue with none of them prevailing, and instead of freeing space, I've lost 100MB more worth of space, knocking me down to about 231MB free. If someone can help guide me through this process or needs any additional information, please let me know. I'm trying to avoid at all costs an entire factory reset.
Thanks, Forum!
