Well, the forum says "don't be shy", so I'll say hi. Before I start posting my numerous complex questions to which no one will know answers... :D

Anyhow, I'm a one-week old Android'er, trying to figure out things on my own first.

I have Samsung Galaxy Note II, not rooted yet, but I'm sure it'll happen soon. I still also use my Maemo-based N900, and currently I'm pissed off at the (in)security and lack of privacy (at least that's my first impression) of Note II. E.g. why do some dumb flashlight or tetris apps need network and phone access, why do news fonts from the official store need "read phone status & identity" etc.; and smirk at how all cloud storage apps want, by default, to first "upload camera photos & videos", and most social apps rush to sync your contacts and calendars.
No, I do NOT want any of these. :smokingsomb:
Other than that, it's a great piece of hardware, and I hope I can tame it soon (I don't want anything happening behind my back, unless I explicitly approved it :) ).
