hi all, i just bought a samsung galaxy ring (virgin mobile) i didnt know too much about it but i was in need of a new phone as my kyocera event (junk) got stuck in boot loop and then bricked. i didnt even root it lol. well i was expecting this to be 4.0.... it ended up being 4.1.2! but upon getting home i noticed the screen feels like plastic. i was wondering about plastic screens. i understand high end phones usually have gorilla glass and since this phone isn't high end i can understand why it isn't. im guessing this is a way for Samsung to bring us an affordable s3 looking 4.1.2 touchwiz phone. or is there another reason the screen is plastic?
i know Samsung is more known for their software and theirs hardware is nothing to write home about, however, my dad has a galaxy reverb which is the older model of the ring pretty much and his is gorilla glass. or is mine glass and i just think its plastic? im so confused. oh well. i guess ill put a screen protector on it and have the best of both worlds.
