Another release date I was told that will probably be wrong (4/26)

Topic title says it all. I was at Costco's Verizon kiosk and the guy there, who I've gotten phones from for years, told me that the Charge will be out at Costco on 4/26, "but I didn't hear that from him", as he put it. :D

Not that I'm saying he's a liar of course, but these things always get canned at the last minute. So while I can hope for my new phone to be in my hands in less than a week, I won't hold my breath. What do you guys think?

I hate how random phones just fly out of nowhere though, like this one, and rumored phones that I've ACTUALLY WANTED TO SEE like the Galaxy S II and the Droid 3 are nowhere to be found. I guess I'll settle though, the Charge looks like a perfectly good cookie-cutter 4.3" phone. At least it has the advantage of Super AMOLED Plus, but I really wish it had a dual core. :(

It seems like a stop-gap phone, kinda like the Tbolt. Not really good enough to upgrade to from my DX. Although I love sAmoled displays. Guess we will have to see how the final released product is before we can say how it really stacks up, but all indications are that it will basically be a Tbolt with an sAmoled display.

Well, my expectations are a little higher than the lowly Thunderbolt. This has HDMI out and the processor should be a Samsung Hummingbird which is much better than a Qualcomm Snapdragon and will result in better battery life.

If this phone got some Exynos love I'd be all over it. Of course, I'm probably still gonna pick one up. Screw the dual core, I've basically been waiting to upgrade since the Thunderbolt wasn't even a rumor (that's a LONG time ago).

Yeah or this could be as bad as waiting for the SF update and whenever a date gets here they change it. If thats the case we will see it Xmas time. LOL
