Root Another Rooting question

I just bought my Evo I think 8-10 days ago. I had blackberrys before. Like everyone else here i want my phone rooted.
Android 2.2
Baseband 2.15.00.09.01
kernel 2.6.32.15-g59b9e50 htc-kernal@and18-2 #17
build 3.30.651.3 cl272076 release -keys
Software 3.30.651.3

Is my phone able to be rooted at this time? I am unclear, what i have read said curtain version cant be at this time.


There are sooooo many threads about this i know, just looking for best way to root.

If some one can help me, or point me in a good direction. Like i said i have read alot of threads on this site and others, and it seems alot of people fail, maybe due to not reading directions, but also there is problems with build or software.

Unfortunately your evolution was shipped with software version 3.30 which is not rootable yet. Your gonna have to wait a little while before someone gets it all figured out!

You won't be able to use unrevoked, but you can still get s-off, which is all you need to flash a fully rooted rom.

While the root method is different, and subsequently not quite as simple, it has a lot of useful information.
