Help Another screen replacement issue

So about a month ago, I dropped my phone from my work truck (about seven feet) and of course, the screen cracked and had a big spider web on the upper left portion. Oddly enough, the touch screen still worked fine. While functional, the spider web annoyed me, so we got a new glass screen for the phone.

Unfortunately, I purchased the wrong model (I had a r530), yet watched the replacement video anyway. From what people told me, the replacement was completed perfectly, yet as it was the wrong model, the touch screen didn't function.

Inevitably, we purchased a new screen for the phone and performed the surgery necessary. Yet, the touch screen itself did not work, but the soft buttons at the bottom did (made noise, haptic feedback, lit up, etc.). Reading about other possible ideas, I made the tough decision to perform a factory reset. But after turning it back on, I had the same problem.

I recently ordered a new one, thinking the last one may have been defective. However, after placing the new screen on the phone, I had the same exact issue where the soft keys work but the actual screen did not.

So...I was hoping for some help/advice. Could the digitizer be ruined somehow during the replacement? Thanks!

The outer glass part at least should be the same for every s3 model so i think the digitizer is damaged tbh
