Help Another Text Message Question

Newbie
Is there anyway to stop certain text messages from displaying the other person's callback number? It just seems really unnecessary and is minor frustration for me.

It shows [CB] 3135551212 or whatever the number is.

I'm pretty sure that's up the sender. Like if you choose the use/show a call back number or a sig options its embedded into the text message.

Again, this is all weird to me. Never had any of this with Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile. Maybe only MetroPCS phones display that info.

That is really phone specific, and will only show up if the sender enabled it on their end...
It will happen no matter what carrier you're on...

Do you have these persons saved into your contacts?

I don't see CB's on my stock messenger or GoSMS.

I do however see an option for ME to attach My callback number to the messages I send.

Which confirms what you've already been told here.

I would text those person's and ask them to unattach the call back numbers from their text messages (that is, if they use the same phone number for texting as voice calling. If not, then I understand why they would attach a CBN to their text messages).

I'll look into that to see if that is the issue. They are saved in my contacts. What makes it weird is that I've never had this happen on any carrier. Why now? Why with MetroPCS? Or its it just this phone?
