Root Another update

So far people haven't been reporting much about it at all... I know Kouma said that he didn't notice any significant differences... (at least I think thats what he said) lol.... I remember one person saying that his phone froze up on him like four times after he updated, but I think it was prolly user error... Also, take a look at this... It tells what each update is for... HOPE THIS HELPS....

But what I dont get is what the hell is this update? I already did the FE16 update last week. This is just a 7.4mb system update. Is someone (Kouma Im looking in your general direction, :) ) going to make an updated rooted Odin version with this new update?

Thanks for clearing that up for me... I wasn't exactly sure what that one was... I was taking a shot in the dark... lol... ODIN is the only way I update... When that happens... Still on EJ06...

I did the build.prop edit. I also removed the 7.4mb update from the cache folder. After a reboot, I got the update notification again. Is that normal?

kouma has already made the updated version. 7.4mb is the size of the fa19 to fe16 update. it's in either /cache or /data/cache in your file explorer. delete it, make sure you have edited your build.prop correctly and the update notice will go away after reboot.

edit: did the update download to your cache again? how did you edit the build.prop? (meaning did you use the sed command or use a text editor)

I think everything is good. I manually edited the build.prop in ES File Explorer. I checked the cache and it didnt download again. I only got the message when I first rebooted and it hasnt come back since.
 
Guys I got a problem, I Odined the FE16 update and all kinds of things are wrong. No Wifi, Laggy, screen will not stay on..

I've Odined 3 times in the past day, since lastnight, i've tried the FA19 and EJ06

All have the same issue, wifi will connect, but it will not show my router and will shut the wifi off after searching a minute or two..

When I tried to restore a back up in CMW it says the boot images is wrong. So I flash KK2.5 and then tried to restore, same issue..

I've tried that on all three "updates" I have no clue whats up.. I've also used two different cables and three computers. my two desktops and my laptop..

Is my prevail dying??

Try a fresh install of the ROM (or flashing one period if your still stock, lol.)
What is the whole error in cwm?

Forgot to mention that. I've tried CT and HalfAss.. I'm mobile right now but the error when restoring it just says the boot image doesn't match, but the backup is kk2.5?

Did you transfer the backup to your card from PC? Could have corrupted during the transfer...
