Root Another ***Warning*** OTA and Themes

Do not apply themes, or anything else that requires deodexed ROMS as you will be stuck in a bootloop, FOREVER

I've seen a few get toasted by doing this so FYI

I just rooted the 2.2 ota and now have no idea what I can or can't do.I'm obviously a noob at this. Can you clarify what is safe for me to do? also, is there a way for me to deodex? Thanks

My sentiments exactly. So now odexed or deodexed themes are out of our reach? I'm not complaining too much but NexTheme or REVOlution is the whole reason why i wanted my 2.2 OTA update, rooted my phone, and read about a billion forums....just to find out i cant do it? Is this right? No themes for OTA, rooted Droid X users?

you just need to deodex your phone. there are simple ways out there to do this. but themeing 2.2 OTA works the same as applying themes to the leak. you just gotta deodex.

Ok so deodex and im cool to apply "deodexed themes" that're meant for 2.2 OTA AND that were meant for the leaked version of 2.2 as well? Just checking before i brick lol. Thanks for your quick response by the way!

also, has it been confirmed yet that we can deodex the same way we were able to with the leaks? I had deodexed my 2.3.9 build easy enough with the directions but I wasnt sure if that could still be done with the OTA... I havnt seen anyone mention it yet really
