Help answering phone motion

when I purchased my phone and when i got an incoming call my screen would light up and i could hit the answer button, talk and then when I moved phone away from my head i could end call. now when I get a call I can answer, talk and when I move it away from my head I cannot see end call. it is as if some motion thing got turned off. any ideas how i can get it back to original?

There is a proximity sensor on your device.
It's a little blue circle just barely visible just left of the verizon logo near ear piece.
make sure it is not covered or something.

yep, that wasn' t the problem. i took it to the verizon store and they couldn't figure it out. they took out the battery and put it back in and then it worked. . . for about 2 hours and then it went back to not working. WTF!!!
