Root Anthrax Kernel Issue

pj1234678

Newbie
Hello I am currently on the MidnightS 1.06 rom and i found a glitch where whenever i put the phone to sleep for more than 30 seconds and turn the screen back on i notice the clock speed Jumps from 1.249 ghz to 328 mhz and locks in at 328 the only way i can get the clock back to 1.2 ghz is to reboot the entire phone

Odd, I've been using Anthrax for over 3 months solid and haven't seen this, are you using kernel tuner and are you sure that it's keeping your settings. I have had issues with that until the last couple of updates.

I had this problem too and so do others if you check the MidnightRom thread. If you really want to keep using Anthrax, you might want to use No-Frills to set your CPU speed (since it's easier than Kernel Tuner), but you'll have to keep doing it every time your speed gets locked at the minimum...
I solved the problem by just switching to a new kernel. The Mac Kernel has been working out pretty great for me :)

I've been using it for a few days and everything runs as smooth as butter. It's overclocked to 1.5GHz and combined with MidnightRomS and the lagfree governor, I've been getting good battery from it (right now I'm at 18% battery with 36+ hours on battery, but I do have the Laza extended battery - so you can roughly estimate that with the stock battery you'd be about the same except with 18 hours).
You should check out other Kernels too and find what you like; there's a few more for this phone at the xda developers website: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1098

Thank u all for helping i was wondering if the MAC kernel has UV support i scanned the thread this morning and i found undervolts for other things except the cpu

I don't think you can UV the MAC Kernel... Kernel Tuner just force closes whenver I try to open the UV settings.
