Very good and practical advice indeed.I've heard facebook app can cause problems, but don't know for sure.
But a tip I have learned is if your phone doesn't respond to a touch or button, just leave it for a minute or two and it will usually catch up to speed. if you keep hitting buttons, it will freeze, then you have to take the battery out and reboot.
What type of battery off charge times are you getting with the "never sleep" setting and whats your battery temp when you turn on the screen?Almost a week and the phone has never run better. I've rolled frozen apps back out with great success. Really nice. I'm convinced it was the sleep policy, so if anyone stumbles in here looking for an answer to freezing problems, try that first. I set mine to never and I've been golden since. Checked a bunch of friends' phones and found that they're all set to 'never' as well. Live and learn. Thanks again.
Sounds good. What is your battery temp when you turn on the screen in a air conditioned climate? If anything, I'm getting better battery life. On an average day, with moderate use, it's only on the charger while I sleep. Lasts a full day, easily. I'd read somewhere that the never sleep option is easier on the battery because it's not constantly sleeping, waking, sleeping, waking. I have my timeout set at 2 minutes so that was a lot of stopping and starting.
Well, it is somewhat doubtful that the battery would actually be cooler than the air around the phone.Okay, in a 63 degree room, my battery temp is showing 16 degrees celsius/60.8 degrees Fahrenheit. I have no idea what's good and what's not as far as that goes.

The only reason why I asked about the temp,is with it set to never sleep the CPU would not be able to go into the deep sleep(I think this is correct, but now,not so sure) and would instead be set to the min. CPU speed(might run a shade hotter). You phones temp looks good. In comparison ,mine in a 77 degree house after waking it from a deep sleep shows 19C.Okay, in a 63 degree room, my battery temp is showing 16 degrees celsius/60.8 degrees Fahrenheit. Looks like you have discovered a cure that won't cause any residual problems down the road.
I know what you mean. That's because my phone is just so coooool.
