Any Atrix Regrets?

Just so ya'll know, if you are using the phone's built in tether functionality, AT&T can tell you're tethering. It's only if you're using some app that they can not. Whether they will charge you for it or not I don't know. Just don't be surprised if they add it on to your bill next month.

My Iphone did the same thing with every update one of the reasons I got rid of it.

No regrets at all, this is by far the best phone I've ever owned. I like this display much more than the tiny display on my wifes Iphone4. The Atrix has kicked the Iphone4's ass in every side by side comparison I've done so far and it's going to get alot worse for the Iphone when the Atrix gets Gingerbread. One thing I've noticed is that Android phones get faster with OS upgrades and Iphones get slower with OS upgrades.

I didn't even get that pop-up... any help!!!

I am getting closer to making it work. I think you have to be running Motoblur. I tried with Launcher Pro and it wasn't working. I then switched to Motoblur and it worked briefly. Then the Entertainment Center app locked up. :(

I rebooted back to Motoblur, tried again and it worked great.

So...makes sure you are running Motoblur and not any other launcher.

None! I was a iPhone user all the way! I tried the HTC hero, HTC HD7, various winmob devices & always went back. But this device has changed all that, past experience by now I'd b suffering buyers remorse. I like the UI, I'm learning more 'tricks' hour by hour, I have no complaints about the screen battery life is awesome my only wish would b to able to change screen colors for sms etc.

All the dual-core hype and qHD screen to me at least isnt all that impressive. Comparing the iP4 and Atrix side by side, iP4's screen was brighter and much clearer. I also didnt notice anything special in the speed department compared to say the insipre 4G. So yes for all the hype this device generated, including its "best in show" from CES, I dont see much of an improvement over the Droid X, for example. Moto Blur is still the same, I did have some small stutters when scrolling through the menu and the camera is sub-par.

Expected. The improvements under the hood in this phone such as dual core wont really show up for a while, so you're basically left with a phone with a lackluster screen that doesnt "seem" any faster than current single core phones.

No way I would touch this phone, wait for Galaxy S 2. There you'll get great under the hood and a great/large screen

Can't change the fact it will still be made by Samsung though....

There are some people who will always find issues in newly released phones and convince themselves to wait for the next big phone and the vicious cycle continues.....

Speed portion of the Atrix has already been demonstrated in some of the video reviews & dual core + 1 GB ram does make a big difference however the recent camera pics posted on the forums are baffling....the quality is pathetic....did the testers at motorola actually used the camera and upload any of the pictures taken by it for quality assurance...

Not sure if make any difference to you but for me this is essential, Samsung do not have a LED notification light on there phones only Motorola & HTC, so for me I cannot touch a samsung, but if this is not essential for you then the Samsung screens are fantastic.

Plus a 4" screen is the MAX I want. :D

EXACTLY! I'm waiting for Galaxy S2 - it's got a bigger screen (which I prefer), it's Super AMOLED, plus it's got a 8 MP camera. Looking at it's leaked photos and videos - it's display plus the phone itself look incredible. i hate to say it but they blow the atrix out of the water.

^lol..

Since we talking about the Atrix and not the Droid 1, Eris or G1...I dont think any phone blows the Atrix out the water.

Just like last year with the Droid X, Galaxy S line, Incredible, EVO, etc....no current phone blew another current phone out the water.

I understand if you dont like it or want it....but lets be realistic.

And I dont know if its Honeycomb, dual core or the extra Ram...but loading games on the Xoom is extremely fast. And since I see ppl with the Viewsonic G tablet posting about how much a difference dual core makes, I think the benefits of dual core can be felt this early.

Thanks for the Info! I'll check these out.

I was using a blackberry for many years and switched to the Atrix yesterday when our IT department decided they did not want to host a BES anymore. So far the phone is great except for one major issue, it will not notify me if I receive an email on my corporate account (except 5 hours after sending it test emails, it vibrated for about 2 minutes by itself). This is driving me crazy and cant figure it out. Did not want to be tied to an iPhone and heard a lot of good things about the android OS. The HTC is way too big.

It's made by Samsung so while it'll look good on paper it will still suck to own

If you pushing on the screen to the point that its bending you have some serious touch issues. This phone responds with a very super light tap, a bug could do it.

exactly....the captivate (and all other sgs phones) looked great on paper.

top of the line cpu
top of the line graphics
great media abilities out of the box
amazing screen

what they forgot to write was

buggy software (for some)
broken gps
lack of support

the bottom line is...android is android. As long as the manufactures write the software to work well with the hardware, there shouldnt be much of a difference whether its a dual core phone, a phone with an 8 inch screen, or a phone is 2 screens. While there are some differences, they really are small when comparing the atrix to phones like the inspire.
