Accessories Any batteries without "non-supported battery" error?

Is there any third party replacement battery that doesn't have that "Unable to charge non-supported battery" error?

I'd like to avoid the $45 (on amazon.com) genuine battery, but not sure if it's feasible?

BTW, I don't want one of the brick 3000+ mAh batteries, and I'm not rooting my phone.

I just want one of the same form factor as original, at least the same mAh, and doesn't require rooting to charge in the phone.

I bought the big 3000mAh battery from Seidio and haven't had any problems with it. My phone isn't rooted, running stock Froyo.

Seidio has a smaller battery as well that would probably work.

Thanks. I looked at the Seidio 1600 mAh battery at Amazon.com, and the reviews have reports of phones detecting a non-supported battery. Plus the Seidio is so expensive, its price is pretty close to the "real" battery.

I have two different knockoff G7 batteries as well as a 3rd party from eBay that work just fine. haven't seen that issue.

My old Samsung moment used to do that every once in a while with the stock battery! Never seen the message on my Epic.

Novasource: you're right Seidio is a little expensive. I bought mine when I was heading to CES last January. I need a good battery, and that was recommended by a friend who had used Seidio products quite a bit.
