Any consensus yet on which protective case is best?

I'd like to see one like they have for the S-3. A wallet type that has a folding cover to protect the front glass and folds open.

I know what the answer is for ME.

This one. Most of the phone is covered in two layers of protection but the phone still feels thin. Were my Spirit to get zapped out my hand by a meteorite tomorrow, I'd get Another One of these cases for it's replacement.

I tried to like the similar one with a stand, and the stand Was nice but greatly added to the width of the case and phone, Too Much to warrant the case...

This was the case one IF you absolutely Must have a stand.

I got this one from Ebay and I love it.

same here, go those for my daughter and i. i tried the gel and clip ons but this one worked best so far. dropped the phone week one with black rubberized clip on they sold me at metro, screen lines. lg fixed it and now im sticking with this one. couple bad drops later its perfect inside.

I got this one from Ebay and I love it.

I ended up getting the one in post #3 and I'm happy with it.

Has a nice feel to it and is basically a combination of Silicon and Plastic. It consists of 3 pieces that lock together and was only about 6 or 7 bucks.

whatever you do don't buy one of those hard plastic snap cases that doesn't cover the top and bottom. I loved it when my wife picked it our for me in the store, nice and sleek but it damaged the phone more than it being naked.

I love TPU cases

This case is basically a Silicone case which is then "sandwiched" by two pieces of a hybrid of silicon/plastic.

It appears to offer great protection and feels great in your hand as well as being "grippy"

Well, I can offer up a protection data point on this bottom stand case.

I've dropped my Spirit a couple times onto grass but a hour ago was it's first 3' dive onto concrete.

I THINK (not real clearly apparent) that it impacted on a corner of the case.

No damage whatsoever.

Works for me.

I'm still using the hybrid I got from metro when I bought it. I've dropped this things a few times, some of them were bad too and there's still no damage to my phone.

The one in Post #3 has been on my Spirit for several months and it's great.
Only issue is a bit of difficulty pulling down the Info bar menu.

Nope. The one in post # 3. I'll see if I can find one on ebay. Just to let you know, I recently dropped my LG Spirit onto the sidewalk from 4' talking it out of my inside jacket pocket and it bounced on the lower left corner, bounced and landed screen side down and nothing bad happened.

It's basically a 3-piece case that snaps together. 1 part silicone encased between 2 parts of grippy plastic.

The song I was listening to didn't pause or skip or stop and no damage to the phone.

I rarely, if ever, drop stuff especially phones and wasn't even going to get one. I rode "bareback" on my iPhone for about a year before getting a case. Same with my LG Motion which I never got a case for before I got rid of it.

Even though I have big hands, bigger phones tend to result in more drops so I bought the case in post #3 on ebay about a year or so ago for about $7.00 and it finally came in handy.

I actually like the feel of it because it is very "grippy" and the phone feels too small in my hand without it as I have big hands.

Great value for $7.00
