Any fashion geeks out there?

Sure the name fashion geek is far off, but anyone into it?
I wear the same "uniform" of sorts to work everyday (chef pants, dishwasher shirt, Crocs) and like to wear something more fun on my days off. Generally shop at H&M for both price and I like their style.
Anyone have a particular style, brand? How do you dress on a typical day?

i love Lowry's Farm (japanese brand) and Anthropologie :D both not very cheap, but I go for styles similar to mori girl (japanese fashion style).

Ah wife loves Anthropologie!
I'm still of the Urban Outifitters type.

i absolutely love them. i go to their website and am sold on what they sell me, lol :D luckily, my sister went to NY on a business trip, and next to her hotel is a mall that has an Anthropologie branch :D

There are about 4 Anthropologie's within a 20-30min distance from us.

damn :D well, i don't live in the US, soo... :D just taking advantage of online sales from time to time, and even then, i can only get away with getting something from there if it's christmas or a special occasion :D my family is pretty frugal :D

Besides been a member of AF, I'm an active member of two clothing forums, Ask Andy About Clothes and Style Forum.

This is a few shots of the sort of things that I like to wear..

The much travelled red Hong Kong T-shirt.

So that's what the once British Rover cars look like now.

Living where I am, has actually been very interesting for clothing. IMO far more interesting than the UK. In China you see some really great gear, and at the same time there's some really horrid knock-offs of famous designer brands.

Prada or Burberry anyone?

...or maybe a nice Giorgio Armani shirt?

I'm a borderline shopaholic. I love shoes. I love Barney's! I wear a variety of brands but tend to stay away from H&M, Top Shop, Express, Holister and stores like that.

I have a strange, oddly curious and hard to fit body, so I am going with a qualified bespoke tailor. Price is high, but that is unavoidable. Off the rack sucks. To get a great suit and shirt, I have decided to go with qualified people making the proper decisions in the hopes of getting some new threads that will make me stand out.

I want to be a dandy. I am amazed at what it costs to look like you actually have the right to own an iPhone.

So to educate myself on what is hot and what is not, I started reading GQ Magazine. About all I can figure out is it is easy to drop five grand on a suit. I can drop 8 grand for that matter or $1200.00 on a shirt. Not including the $130.00 socks and a $299.00 belt. And far more, I've noticed.

I also learned that it is easy to drop $10,000.00 on an overcoat and I also learned that some people spend astonishing amounts of money on clothes JUST because of the name. Like some movie star knows jack squat about clothes.

And in the Nordstroms catalog, there is a $300.00 or so pair of distressed jeans. Holes, rips and tears and this is suppose to be style? No, it is what I see when I drive past the homeless shelter.

I also learned that once next year arrives and the fall leaves begin to fall, what was in style this year is out so I need to start over. Or so I have been told. But I also know classic tailoring is always welcome.

I also learned that Pay Less shoes last and last and Florsheim are well made shoes, too. Excluding the plane ticket to London, bespoke shoes can set you back thousands of dollars, but they are made to last for a very long time.

At least they keep the lasts (Google it) for eons in case you want another pair of multi-grand clodhoppers.

But what do I know . . . I wear jeans and sweats, so I must be a bum.

Here in Utah, we have a shop called Utah Woolen Mills. This is a truly great store; family owned and run for several generations. I have bought Pendelton shirts there for a long time. I once bought London Fog overcoats there, but they seem to be gone. I need a new coat, so I'll likely go there because they sell quality at reasonable prices.

Some suits are so bad, even I know they are crap and I am amazed at what even crap can cost if it comes from some dandy shop or Norstroms. But like I said, I am going with a great tailor armed with a ton of questions in the hopes I finally end up with a well made, proper suit.

I am going all black except for the shirt which I can only describe as DuPont Chrome Oxide Yellow. A second shirt in red. Perhaps a new pair of shoes if there is money left over from selling my kidney. Perhaps a bright blue I call "UV Curing Lamp Blue."

So that's about all I know. I am a a black tux in brown shoes.

Tokyo is overflowing with fashion...
So, I mix everything from everywhere at all different prices.
I just shop in the general Shibuya area. They have everything there!

Cargo or Van type shorts with a DC/Tap Out/Famous or Vans shirt with either flip/flops or vans on all year is my wardrobe.

Not so much fashion Im a jeans and t shirt gal mostly but I Do love my handbags. 2 LV bags, 1 guess bag and loads of non designer brand ones.

I'm not too much into designer handbags, as I use my bags very extensively. The most expensive bag I have and prefer is fossil. I also prefer non designer real leather bags. Gorgeous for a fraction of the price.

I love this!!
It would make a great Xmas present....

Probably should meet a friend of mine, probably would get on. He's just put fake Louis Vuitton seat covers in his new car, the have the LV pattern all over them.

I'm absolutely sure that LV has to be the most abused brand and trademark there is.

Apple is probably a close second though, I've even seen men's shirts that have Apple logo shaped buttons.

i normally stick to american eagle for my pants because they hold up better than aeropostale pants that i use to wear and i stick to aeropostale shirts and socks because there cheaper than american eagle shirts and socks...
