Any good Flash browsers left?

I just bought the N7 for my toddler son (never thought I'd be spending $200 on toys already at this age! :o) because the minute I pull out my ipad he's on my lap wanting to use it. I assumed (my bad) that it would have an app for streaming Amazon Prime Instant Video. I sideloaded Flash and can now stream Prime Video in Firefox, but it's sooo buggy. Takes 30 seconds after the video starts for the video to actually show (as opposed to a black screen with audio), and Firefox keeps doing its "not responding" thing so I have to shut it down and restart. It's almost more trouble than it's worth. I'm considering returning it and getting him a Kindle HD solely because of the Flash/Prime Video thing, but OTOH I really like having 2 full-featured tablets (without rooting) in the house. Any ideas?
 
I use boat browser in desktop mode (one of its settings) and have flash set to always on. It seems more reliable than firefox but does still crash or glitch occasionally.
 
I use photon browser for nhl.com highlights and have had no problems. In the google play store it has mixed reviews but it might be worth at least a try.

as long as u don't go full screen, Dolphin 8.5.1 is my choice. be sure not to let it autoupdate or u will lose flash support in dolphin. it must be sideloaded. look for the APK file on line.

I tried Dolphin first and I think it's already lost Flash support. It wouldn't work. Thanks everyone - I'll give Boat a try. :)
 
Well damn...Boat is a no-go. :( It seemed to handle video playback well - however, every time I used the back or menu functions, I get "unfortunately Boat browser has stopped." I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, since on the first round it got to a point where I couldn't even reopen the app because I got the same message. I REALLY like everything about the N7 except Amazon not having an Instant Video app! I can't decide if it's a complete dealbreaker or not - if I thought sure they'd release one in the next few months there'd be no question.
 
I've heard that Amazon is making a Instant Video app for the later generation GoogleTV boxes (I'm anxiously waiting for it). I wouldn't read too much into it but maybe it's a sign that they're going to support more Android devices. From what I've read DRM is a sticking point for Amazon.
 
Sounds promising. I think I'll just stick with the N7. Hell, he's 18 months old, he doesn't have the attention span to sit through a 30 minute episode anyway, lol. YouTube videos will do him ok for awhile. ;)
 
18 months old and he has his own Nexus 7??? WOW!!! My kids didn't get their first "GameBoy" until they were 5 or so (yes, I'm old!). Be sure to keep him off the Internet. The Nexus 7's Chrome browser can easily access any website if it's hooked up to your wi-fi. Who knows what he might accidently see? And the glass screen is breakable so a protector would be good! I know... who asked me?

No Amazon application for streaming video yet probably because of competition with the Kindle. Have you tried Hulu? They have an app in Google Play to allow streaming video. Of course you must have a Hulu account, which I don't have so I've never tried this. And Netflix works GREAT on the N7. I have this and its pretty awesome! Full screen looks hi-def!
 
Yeah, what can I say...he's a product of his mommy and daddy :p He'd rather hop up on the couch with us and grab a phone, tablet, laptop, TV remote, etc, than play with normal "kid toys." I wasn't supposed to be able to have children so he will likely be my only, so I tend to spoil him a bit. ;) He's my little Geek Baby. :D
 
I totally understand. I just remember reading somewhere that someone knocked a N7 off the couch onto a carpeted floor and cracked the screen! That's only a few feet. I have mine in a case.

I have a Bobj case and a screen protector being delivered tomorrow. He's only allowed to play with it under our supervision, but I still want to be as careful with it as I can. :)

nuny, the reason i mention using the older dolphin (side loaded, which is SIMPLE to do) is that when it plays a Flash video, it is SMOOTH and unpixelated, unlike some of the other browsers. Do not switch it to full screen though. there are other browsers that play Flash pretty well, and I have forgotten which popular one of them does a terrible job of rendering flash content.
 
I've been using Naked Browser (or the CM browser).

The UI for Naked is pretty awful to look at (the developer himself has said this several times, lol) but its pretty light on resources since its pretty minimal and supports Flash.

use x-scope pro! Near perfect performance! No lag in loading videos!!

Plus X-Scope automatically detects whether you have flash installed or not and then downloads it from one of two locations selected by you. (XDA or Adobe)

Make Sure You Have Unknown sources checked in security settings in the settings of your Nexus 7

xScope doesn't seem to work for me. It has the same cubed "?" that every other browser has on a flash video. The only thing that seems to work halfway decently is Firefox, and even that blinks a hell of a lot. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I updated to 4.1.2.?

I realize flash is "on demand" for his browser, but AFTER I click on the arrow to activate the video, it turns into a cube with a question mark on it, implying that there is no flash installed on my device even though it is.
