Any good Flash browsers left?

That happened to me on a botched install of flash. It has to do with the way the browser automatically loads flash if you tell it to. If you didnt go through that process correctly you will get the cubed question mark thing.

Solution: Uninstall xScope, and reinstall following ALL the prompts. For example allow it to finish downloading flash completely, and wait for it to ask to install. (Do not install outside of xScope, for example after flash has downloaded do not leave xScope to install flash)

HINT: Make sure you have selected to "allow installation from unknown sources" found in the security section of the settings. About half way down you will see the words "Unknown Sources" check that box as it will prevent flash from installing if its not checked.

Overall: sounds like flash didnt install correctly. Uninstall and reload following the prompts to a T. xScope is flawless the only way you will get issues is if you have slipped up somewhere in installing the plugin. (Im guessing unknown sources wasnt checked or you opted out of the prompted flash install through xScope)

I really hope this solves your problem! I remember when I had to figure out flash on android and originally had an experience similar to yours. I feel your pain!

*******HIT THANKS AND LIKE IF MY POST HELPED YOU, OR IF YOU WANT TO GIVE ME AN A FOR EFFORT!! ;)********

sorry this may sound like a dumb question but how do you sideload flash? i thought flash wasnt available for android devices anymore?

Yes, I believe this is safe. I got to the Adobe flash download from a different source, but the above does the same thing. Use the link at the bottom of his blog and sideload it after downloading to the phone or download to computer and copy to the N7.

I don't understand. I sideloaded flash prior to downloading xScope. Are you saying that it will only work if I allow xScope to download it and install it FOR me? Cause I don't ever remember getting any kind of prompt when I installed and ran xScope.

Precisely!! It probably didnt ask you because it had detected flash was already side loaded.

Fix: Uninstall flash and xscope, and then reinstall xscope and allow it to prompt you. FOLLOW THE PROMPTS PRECISELY!

I have a Bobj case and a screen protector being delivered tomorrow. He's only allowed to play with it under our supervision, but I still want to be as careful with it as I can. :)

Thanks, I will check for that VERSION!

I like the older flash supported version of Dolphin. But it gets to be a pain in the neck. You have to turn off auto update and take off auto notification of update. But when you go to update your other apps, dolphin will always be there. So then you have to either update your other apps individually which gets old fast or you update all but quickly go into the dolphin update and cancel it.

Needless to say you will need to keep the APK around because sooner or later its going to get updated unintentionally and you will have to reinstall.

Don't know of a way to permanently block an update.

.........It works.
IT WOOOOOORKS!!!

And the best part about it is, now flash seems to work flawlessly on all my other browsers as well (Boat & Firefox). And since Firefox has a flash video downloader plugin, this makes my N7 one step closer to killing my netbook once and for all.

YES I AM STOKED FOR YOU!!!!! I remember when I had that dilemma and finally got it solved. Happy to hear it worker out. Please thanks and like my posts on this thread!! I REALLY was pulling for you to get xscope running and voila!! Its going. And isnt it really the best!!
