Just installed 2.1 and noticed it lacks an autofocus disable option. This is very disappointing to me. I'm repeatedly ticked off because I look right at the picture I want on the screen, and the one I get is totally different. I don't like the my phone insisting its smarter than me.
If anyone has any suggestions on what to do about this, I'd love to hear it. I found some names of other apps that could supposedly fix the problem, but none show up in the market. I'd even be willing to install a custom rom if it disabled the autofocus. As far as I'm concerned it makes the camera worthless, so it'd be well worth the risk.
