Gun for Hire
So this year's CTIA might be a lackluster event.
Only thing I was expecting from Sprint was an official release date for the EVOLTE.

Well we still have the L710 that passed wifi cert in Feb that no one knows what it is. People think it's an LTE Epic Touch, but they think that because of the model number. What they don't realize is that the Orginal Epic (D700) and Galaxy Nexus (L700) share the same number too but are completely different devices. I have my theory on what the L710 is..
Galaxy Note LTE for Sprint, maybe?
Possibly, I also think it could be the GSIII.
I called it!
Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S III Also Includes Dual-Core CPU, 16GB Storage
Notice the model number?

Nice. Maybe the phone listed in the leaked timeframe is actually the SGS 3, since it lists the same processor and this article shows the qualcomm processor confirmed in Sprint's SGS 3?
I don't know how you guys feel about LG....but there's rumors of a new Quadcore phone coming to Sprint.
LG LS970 could be a quad-core LTE beast of a smartphone, bound for Sprint
Would never have considered LG a couple years back, but they've been catching my eye lately. Hell, even Sprint's entry level LTE device... LG Viper LTE... Is pretty Damn nice!
I'm wondering if this will have 2GB of RAM, like that other phone LG announced recently.. and a true HD (1080p) screen. This could be a hardware monster right here!
a 1080p screen would be completely pointless on a phone...IMO Didn't they say anything above 320ppi and it doesn't matter?

At the Sprint Network Vision Strategy Update in New York, Sprint's vice president of product development, Fared Adib, said the operator would launch 15 dual band CDMA/LTE mobile devices, including handsets, tablets, and mobile hotspots, after the rollout.
I would never have considered LG before either (for a phone), but this has me intrigued as well. I had actually purchased a LG Optimus S for one of my secondary lines and although it was too small for my tastes, the overall feel of the device was actual very good and it surprised me as being extremely reliable. And it was actually less laggy than my Original EVO...but of course, the screen was too darned small.
Wow, with all of these rumors popping up, I may end up having to wait longer than I anticipated to take my last 1 year upgrade. Going on all of the most recent information/news/rumors combined, Sprint might be stepping up their game as far as the Android superphones being offered. It's possible that this is the new timeframe (just based on all the combined information that's been reported):
April 22 - Galaxy Nexus / LG Viper 4G
May 18 - HTC EVO LTE 4G
June 15 (?) - Samsung Galaxy S III (e.g. Epic LTE 4G)
July 13 or 15 (?) - MoPhoQ LTE
August 10 or 12 (?) - LG LS970
September 9 (?) - ? (Galaxy Note or Other)
October 5 or 7 - iPhone 5
That puts Sprint at 9 potential LTE devices on Sprint out of the 15 mentioned back in October:

That leaves 6 more potential devices (but not limited to just phones), so I'm guessing that there'll be another HTC Tablet w/ LTE as a follow-up to the EVO VIEW (e.g. Flyer w/ 3g/4g connectivity). There'll be a follow-up to the Samsung Tablet and the Xoom. That's 3 different devices, which would leave us with 3 more remaining. Most likely, one will be the Windows Phone offering. HTC already declared their moving away from slideout QWERTY keyboard phones, so it's not likely they'll come out with a follow-up to the EVO Shift.
Only other phone I could think to see Sprint coming out with would be the next rendition of the Google Nexus line (in the Fall or Winter). I am hoping there will be a qwerty slideout available that isn't one of the mid-level Samsung phones. It wouldn't be for me, but for one of my secondary lines for sure.
Anytime in June for the S3 would make the happiest person alive.
My guess would be Photon.
Anybody see this?

heck of a nice processor for a "mid-range" device."
For a minute there I thought that was the GS3 lol. That's not bad for a mid range device. Sprint wasnt kidding around when they said there's going to be alot of LTE devices coming this year.
Based on how well Samsung did in keeping the SGS3 under wraps, I don't think we'll be hearing much about a Sprint variant until they do their US release conference thingamajig.

Yeah but by then I'll probably have my brand new spankin' EVO LTE.
LOL I read up on that. That would totally suck.Hopefully it won't be the same as the ONE X. I don't want the colors in my clothes rubbing off on the phone.
