Root any new ROM's based on DK28?

I decided to odin the epic so i could revert back to cwm 2.5 with quantum 2.7. It feels more stable with that combination, and you can use the add ons. With cwm 3.0 you can still use quantum, but nothing else. I will wait until that is more complete and more files are "edified"

a couple of questions. is the sd card supposed to be partitioned prior to using the ext4? and what do you think of the Nebula rom vs quantum?

Don't think so, but haven't read through it too much to know for sure. I'm pretty sure it's just the internal memory of the phone though.

I prefer Quantum personally as it fits my wants and needs, but Nebula is getting some rave reviews as well!

Also, if you get the chance, check out Mammon's Bonsai rom. It is the most fluid, stable, and battery saving rom I think I've used so far!

Hi everybody, Im a newbie here. I got an Samsung Epic 4G and yesterday i was installed the Quantum Root V2.7 using the One Click Root. This is amazing seen how my phone change, looks great really smooth and no problem during the installation. I'm just wanna say Thank You my people for everything all of you doing for us.I never been doing this before, is was my first time. I'm just follow the instruction and thats it. Thanks one more time and i'm glad to know about all of you guys, make me happy for all my life.

I am running DK28 everything stock with one click root v2.5.5 and do not want to lose any current info on the phone(apps and settings). Where can I find step by step instruction to back all current settings, flash/install Quantum, and reinstall backup settings. I would like to do the same with Nebual.

Another good Rom is TrulyEpic. It's made (or taken over) by a person named ragnaroks. it's essentially a really base froyo rom (no skins, no themes), and you pretty much add whatever you want, be it from his zip files, or from the market. i like it

I just installed the Bonsai rom with ext4 support and it's really impressive. It's the most responsive rom I've used and my first quadrant score was 1965.

quadrant scores arent everything. yeah, bonsai gave me high marks 1900+, it went nicely right along with all the force closes i got when I tried to open various apps. trulyepic however gives me about 1650-1700, but it's the most stable fluid everything works no force closing rom I've ever used.

I went with this one and I am very impressed. You may get better quadrant scores with some others but as far being bullet proof, smooth and the ability to add what you want back in form TW or Sprint is great. Even if Samsung/Sprint come out with 2.2 I doubt that I will be making a change. Very, very smooth.... I can't imagine I would gain anything from a Samsung/Sprint build :o
