any news on 2.3.4 for 3g uk?

Interesting. Although they are 2 different depts (not the different twitter names) some else had a reply asking which.version and they said was 2.3.4.

Ill ask them tomorrow!

It is worth noting that samsung have already released this update as it is the current update that is available in quite a few regions. (see other posts on this forum)

Either way be it 2.3.4 or .5 an update is an update. Id be happy with either.
 
Right, following my last posts i tweeted 3 to find out what is actually going on as they were telling us us different things.

They have said they are no longer doing 2.3.4 but will be doing 2.3.5. This is depite telling me that they were working on it and on several times it was near completion / release.

Which I suppose in the long run will be better for us as .4 did not bring much extra for the ace from .3 .
 
Just need some sort of timescale now and hope that isn't delayed :)
 
They said no dates yet. But ill keep chasing. Does anyone know what improvements 2.3.5 brings?
 
Flashing of touch buttons,
overscroll glow effect,
much faster than all previous release

That is on top of the improvements in 2.3.4:


More support for moving apps to SD card
Copy Paste feature
Battery life increased
Better performance than all previous versions
Better wi-fi and internet

I have also read the updates bring support for flash and sort out the screen lock lag but again, all unofficial words.

Though I can't exactly call that official word on improvements.
