Any one notice how slick this phone is?

Any one else notice just how slick this thing is? I have the Verizon version and I've noticed how slippery this thing is, especially if it's cold outside. (I live in Middle Ga and we had snow this January 28th and 29th) and while going outside to take pictures I came to be very well aware of just how slippery this phone can get. I have no case as of yet, but after this last week I do very much believe that getting one is a must do on my list. I've never dropped a phone before, but I have came close twice already with this one, and since I don't pay for insurance on it I really would hate to drop and break this thing....

Yeah, the choice of finish on the outer shell is definitely a WTF. I have four cases total & ironically, the two cheapest I have are the best fitting/looking & slip-resistant of the lot. (A YESOO-branded TPU case & a freebie TPU case that came w/a QI receiver charging pad.)

I'm considering getting the G-FLEX, hoping it's not as slick as the G2.

After my first day of having my g2, I definitely had to get a case.

Just like my retired gs3, extremely slippery and very easily droppable.

Had several near drops without a case, got a case and dropped it within a week still shattered the screen :banghead:

I bought Case-Mate Tough case two days after I received my LG G2.
Very good case, BTW.

I have the VZW version and have never experienced any slipping issues. I read reviews about this before I bought the phone but handled it in the store and didn't see an issue. Maybe it is the way you are holding the phone? ESPECIALLY if you are used to the teeny tiny iphone, you may just need to consider your grip...? Just my 2 cents...

The glass is very well polished, and the back is somewhat slick. And no not the way I hold it, and I've never owned a Apple product, I've had a LG Ally, then the LG Lucid, and now the LG G2. I do not have small hands so that isn't it. It's not so bad on a regular day, but on those days it's cold outside and you pull it out with your cold hands that thing is slippery. I got a case for it anyway adds some thickness to it and the rubber "nubs" make it easier to hold.....lol It was just my observation as I've never had a cell phone that felt this slick before...

All hTC phones before this. I can't even imagine anything slipperier than the G2. It took me a few days to figure out why I had such a hard time hanging on to this phone.
