Root Any other calling screen besides the normal one? or a lock when you make a call?

The screen on my phone blacks out when you bring it to your ear. I've never had a problem.

It does with me and and all the guys i know of but with the ladys... it tends to turn back on for some reason. Could there be a app that would fix this?

it's because their hair gets in the way of the proximity sensor...same thing happens with guys that have long hair or sideburns.
