I have many USB car and home charges with the mini-usb end. Can I use a mini to micro adapter like this?

I would doubt you would have issues.
Only issue I could see is that you might get a Charging by USB notice and thus limited to getting only 500mA to that phone as opposed to getting the full 1000mA (1 amp) that the usual charger puts out.
The phone knows what its connected to by sensing the data ports on the cable.
So I think it will work fine, but you might have that one minor issue. for using it for connecting to the computer to transfer files, I wouldn't use it.
