Root Any reason why flashing a rom would delete every image file on an sd card?

I just wiped data/both caches and flashed a rom, once I set it all up I noticed all my image files were missing. At first from the gallery then I went into my sd and they're gone all of them. Mind you every other file is still there zip/mp3/apk/backups/ect. Only the images files are gone...all of them, every variation of image file gone. I noticed during one of the reboots while restoring system app/data (tibu) that they had came back once showing up even on the sd. Then another reboot later they were gone again. So I'm thinking maybe it's the device just not reading the image files, so I flash back to my nandroid and they're still gone. I rebooted the current rom more than a few times and they're still not showing back up. Any info would be helpful thanks.

That happened to me months ago. I put the sd in my PC and was able to see the images there, so I copied them to PC then deleted from sd and then copied back to sd. It's been fine ever since. I have no explanation for it, so I blame it on the sd lol.

Yea that's a no go for me. I just took it out and placed it in the laptop via sd extender and they're still gone. All the past few months pics of my kids, concerts, pics I've saved from the web all of them all gone. I'm pissed..

The same happened to me too. All images were gone. Its a good thing I had a backup of my images. I didn't even flash a rom or wipe anything.
